Followd with benediction. Since to part, [ 645 ]
So parted they, the Angel up to Heavn
In procreation common to all kindes
Approve the best, and follow what I approve.
Leads up to Heavn, is both the way and guide;
Irradiance, virtual or immediate touch?
Sent from whose sovran goodness I adore.
To Love thou blamst me not, for love thou saist
Love not the heavnly Spirits, and how thir Love [ 615 ]
I in thy persevering shall rejoyc九*九*藏*書e,
Those thousand decencies that daily flow
(And pure thou wert created) we enjoy
And all temptation to transgress repel.
As Flesh to mix with Flesh, or Soul with Soul.
Us happie, and without Love no happiness.
Desiring; nor restraind conveyance need
Celestial rosie red, Loves proper hue,
Harmonie to behold in wedded pair [ 605 ]
What inward thence I feel, not therefore foild,
From the thick shade, and Adam to his 九-九-藏-書Bowre.
Thy Judgment to do aught, which else free Will
Him whom to love is to obey, and keep
Who meet with various objects, from the sense

So saying, he arose; whom Adam thus

Thy condescension, and shall be honourd ever
Free in thine own Arbitrement it lies.

His great command; take heed lest Passion sway [ 635 ]
Be good and friendly still, and oft return.
Whatever pure thou in the body enjoyst
Answerd. Let it suffice thee that thou knowst [ 620 ]
Of membrane, joynt, or limb, exclusive barrs: [ 625 ]
Easier then Air with Air, if Spirits embrace,
Yet these subject not; I to 九-九-藏-書thee disclose
With grateful Memorie: thou to mankind [ 650 ]
(Though higher of the genial Bed by far,
More grateful then harmonious sound to the eare.
Beyond the Earths green Cape and verdant Isles
Bear with me then, if lawful what I ask;
In eminence, and obstacle find none
And with mysterious reverence I deem)
Go heavenly Guest, Ethereal Messenger,
The weal or woe in thee is plact; beware.
Express they, by looks onely, or do they mix
An九九藏書d sweet compliance, which declare unfeignd
From all her words and actions mixt with Love
But I can now no more; the parting Sun [ 630 ]
Be strong, live happie, and love, but first of all
The End of the Eighth Book.
To whom the Angel with a smile that glowd
Hesperean sets, my Signal to depart.
Perfet within, no outward aid require;
Gentle to me and affable hath been
Variously representing; yet still free [ 610 ]
