安徒生（Andersen）的童話你看了嗎？童話里的醜小鴨（The Ugly Duckling）、國王的新衣（The Emperor』s New Clothes），你都記得嗎？安徒生是丹麥（Danmark）人，一八七五年死的，今年正好是一百年。他童九*九*藏*書話里的小美人魚（The Little Mermaid），被丹麥人做成銅像，放在首都哥本哈根（Copenhagen）的港口。

美人魚並不是安徒生創造的，美人魚是神話里的人兒，很早很早就有了。不謀而合的是，中國也有，中國小說《鏡花緣》里說的「海外人魚」——「上身宛似婦人，下身仍是魚形」，就是她。
